Well fear not, you can now get the same enjoyment out of using your PS4’s DualShock 4 on your iPhone and iPad. The only difference here is that you will be using the controller to play iOS games instead of PS4 console games.

The following instructions are written under the assumption that your iPhone and iPad have already been jailbroken

  1. Open Cydia, and search for ‘Controllers for All’. It uses the MFI API introduced in iOS 7 to allow the user to play any MFIsupported game, using any of the many third-party controllers supported by ‘Controllers for All’.
  2. Once installed, go to Settings > Controllers for All,
  3. Select PS4 Controller from ‘Controller Type’.
  4. Tap Pair from the bottom, and follow onscreen instructions.
  5. You will need to press and hold the PS and Share buttons on the DualShock 4 simultaneously until the lights on its back start pulsing. ‘Controllers for All’ will then connect with your device.

You will need to actually disable your Bluetooth before playing games. You can do this from the Control Center by:

  1. Swiping up from the button from the screen
  2. Tapping on the Bluetooth symbol (it looks like a stylized B).

‘Controllers for All’ uses a different implementation of Bluetooth to work, meaning your Bluetooth cannot be turned on while you play.

Now, whenever you launch an MFIcontroller supported game you will be able to see the list of supported games. Your device will ask you to connect your PS4 DualShock 4 controller by pressing the PS Button. Once you’ve done this, you’re all set up and ready to go. Now you can play iOS games using the PlayStation 4’s DualShock 4! Happy gaming!
